RE: 2008 Jayco Seneca 36FS entertainment center NO POWER

WooHoo!!!
I found the problem (and the inverter). After reading through some posts here I figured out where the inverter should be (under the bed). It took some work but I finally found it.
Of course it's a pain to get to and they installed it right up against the back wall but after getting my fat little body in there I found a GFI right on the inverter. I reset it and everything came back on.
THANKS to everyone here for their help. I would not been able to find it without your suggestions.

Not sure. I have never seen it when going over the coach.
Anyone know where Jayco usually put them?

RE: 2008 Jayco Seneca 36FS entertainment center NO POWER

That would make way too much sense.
I am a little worried about overloading another outlet but if it's just the Tv and dish that should be fine.
I could even run it from the power post and free up the outlet under the table.
THANKS!!!!!
Funny how you look at only one way of getting things done.

RE: 2008 Jayco Seneca 36FS entertainment center NO POWER

Sorry to say. I did not help.
Fired up the gen and still nothing at the entertainment center.
It's looking more and more like wiring. I really hope it's just a reset or fuse that I am missing. Good news is I have setup a spare TV and the campground has cable. The wife is not happy having a TV on the kitchen table but at least we can see the U.S. go for some gold medals. The kids can also get cartoons if it rains over the next 2 weeks.
If anyone has any other suggestions please let me hear them. I would like to get everything back where it belongs and the entertainment center working again as soon as possible.
BTW - Still waiting to talk to a Jayco Tech. Cell signal is spotty so we keep playing phone tag.

RE: 2008 Jayco Seneca 36FS entertainment center NO POWER

No real ability to test the shore power but I can try to unhook for a few minutes and run off the generator to test it. I will let you know.
Thanks for the idea.

I checked the outside center. Seems like everything is working fine. Thanks for the heads up. It was worth a try.
I hope I did not fry the outlet.

2008 Jayco Seneca 36FS entertainment center NO POWER

I hope someone can help.
I pulled into a campground last night. I went to turn on the satellite and TV to catch the Olympics. Everything was working fine for a couple seconds and then it all powered down. The rest of the plugs in the coach work fine and the inverter light is lit up at the command center.
I tried everything from resetting all the circuit breakers by the bed and resteting the GFI in the bathroom. We are going to be here for a week and a half and I would really like to see the Olympics.
I am sure I overloaded the circuit somehow I just don't know where to reset it.

RE: new wineguard slimline dish install

What tripod are you using? The Slimlines are bigger and heavier. I have been trying to find a tripod to travel with.

RE: Inflateable Kayak Sea Eagle 370 Pro Package

I just bought the new 4 seater 440fc.
It should be here next week and we will be taking it out that weekend. I will let everyone know how it works out. We have a ton of campgrounds around us that have lakes or ponds and they will not let us take our regular boat out on them.
If it's junk it will be going back. I will also post video on our web site of putting it together and using it on the water. I will also post on how long it really takes to put together after the initial setup.
I really want to like this boat since it will solve the problem of bringing an extra vehicle and towing a boat if we want to hit the water (where we can).
4 seater solves the problem of leaving someone in the family behind. I hope it goes as well as I think it will.

RE: 2008 Seneca HD Diesel 36FS Double slides

That must be on the MS as fas as dumping under the slide. I would hate that. It would seriously mess up our routine as far as pulling into a new campground and getting setup. I know at least in the FS this is not the case.
We are adjusting summer plans because of the gas prices too. We were planning a Route 66 trip but I think we will be staying closer to home to save on Gas.

RE: 2008 Seneca HD Diesel 36FS Double slides

We have had our since Aug last year. We have put 11,000 miles on it between the end of last season and have alreay done a couple trips this year.
We live in Chicago so it was in storage all winter.
I can put it in two simple words: LOVE IT!!!!
We went out to Colorado and then on to Yellowstone last year and it handled like a dream through the mountains. I think drives like my SUV once I got used to it.
The Kids (4 & 5 yrs old)love it too. They have their own beds and space for their toys. Having a seperate TV while we are getting up or ging to bed makes life better for all. Rainy days when we are stuck inside gives all of us plenty of room.
More than enough storage even after a month + on the road. I travel with 2 dogs and a cat in addition to the wife and kids. I can honestly say that every single one of them has no regrets on our choice.
We spent over a year going to dealers and RV shows before we decided on the 36FS. If you have kids it's perfect.

RE: C.B. Antenna on Senaca 35GS

I have the 36FS and I am having the same problem. I got mine last August and stopped at Walcott CB on the way back from picking it up. They said they could do it over the phone but once I got there they took a couple looks and decided they would rather not try it.
I am still looking for a good solution.
Anotherontheway - Your going to love the 36fs. We have 2 little ones and 2 dogs and they just love the space. The Bunk Beds give them their own space and somewhere to watch cartoons or a DVD when it's raining or settling down for the night.
The draw under the beds is perfect for toys. Everytime we go out the DW are really happy with the decision.

RE: Kodiak Headlights Again

So glad someone posted this. I have been white knuckle driving at night. I felt like I was out driving the headlights all the time. I started racing to get to a campground before it got dark to avoid it. Had the headlights professionally aligned and same problem. I was beginning to think it was just me.
There are alot of choices on that page. What did you end up getting and have you tried them on the road yet?
Thanks for the help!!

RE: Ceiling Panels On Jayco HD

I was afraid of that Scrib. OK then any PLAN B ideas? Is there anyway to run the cable through an exsisting run? Like where the speakers are. Also how hard is it to get the ceiling panels off and then back on the right way?

RE: Ceiling Panels On Jayco HD

It's not going through the roof that is really bothering me. I have an FM antenna up there now for the entertainment system. Most places we stay can't get a FM radio station anyway so I was replacing that antenna with the Cell Phone antenna. If I really need to get FM I can get it from the car radio. I also have it setup for XM radio for both the inside and outside radios.
My big concern is getting the INSIDE antenna for the repeater. I have a 301121 Wilson antenna to rx/tx inside the motorhome through repeater/amp and then to outside antenna. Nether of our cell phones have the ability to hook up a external antenna. Plus we use an Air Card for the computer. Even if we could use external antenna directly hooked to the phone many times we are on the phones and computer at the same time so I needed a solution that would work for all at the same time.
I know your scratching your head thinking why all the electronics but we run our business while on the road and camping. It gives us the freedom to do what we want and still make some money.
The inside antenna should work if I can get it mounted without to much hassle. It needs to have as much separation as possible from the outside antenna.

Ceiling Panels On Jayco HD

I am in the planning stage of running an outside Cell Phone antenna on the roof.
I will be taking it to a inside repeater and inside antenna. I want to mount the inside antenna on one of the ceiling panels and run the cable for it through between the roof and panels back to the entertainment center.
Does anyone have any experience removing and putting back up the ceiling panels? Am I biting off more than I should? Any workarounds?
If anyone is intrested I can post part numbers for what I am installing. It "should" work pretty well once installed.

RE: Seneca leveling question?

Ours was doing it too and it was about a week old. I did not even think about the fluid. When I brought it in that was exactly the problem. They topped it off and have not had the problem since.

RE: Sirius install in Seneca

You think this will work with a GPS antenna? I was wondering how to do it without routing wires through the roof and entertainment center.
